The 16th China Warehousing and Distribution Conference is about to be held

The 16th China Warehousing and Distribution Conference and the 8th China (International) Green Warehousing and Distribution Conference, hosted by the China Warehousing and Distribution Association, were grandly held in Jinan on June 24, 2021. The theme of this conference is "New Concepts, New Patterns, and New Goals - Starting a New Journey of Warehouse Modernization Construction". Zhang Xiang, Deputy Director of the Development Department of the Circulation Industry of the Ministry of Commerce, delivered a speech in video form. Xia Qing, Deputy Director of the Party Group of Jinan Port and Logistics Office, delivered a speech at the conference. Shen Shaoji, President of the China Warehousing and Distribution Association, and Wang Guowen, Director of the Logistics and Supply Chain Management Research Institute of China (Shenzhen) Comprehensive Development Research Institute delivered a keynote speech. Nearly 600 representatives of national warehousing logistics, commercial circulation, and logistics facility technology enterprises, relevant leaders of some provincial and municipal commerce departments, and industry association leaders attended the conference, and the online live broadcast reached more than 30000 viewers. Li Yan, Vice President and Secretary General of the China Warehousing and Distribution Association, presided over the keynote conference on the morning of the 24th.

Zhang Xiang, Deputy Director of the Development Department of the Circulation Industry of the Ministry of Commerce, delivered a speech in video format titled "Development Direction and Key Points of Commercial Logistics during the 14th Five Year Plan Period". He summarized that during the 13th Five Year Plan period, the development of commercial logistics has achieved positive results. The demand for commercial logistics from social consumption has further increased, the efficiency of commercial logistics has been further improved, and the shortcomings of commercial logistics have been significantly addressed. A regional collaborative and urban-rural coordinated commercial logistics network has been basically formed, and the standardization, informatization, and internationalization levels of commercial logistics have significantly improved. Government management and service methods have been more optimized, and the business environment is becoming more perfect. In response to the problems in network layout, scale structure, operation management, socialization and specialization, commodity flow, and talent guarantee in the development of commercial logistics, Deputy Director Zhang Xiang proposed the goal of "promoting high-quality development of commercial logistics and supporting the construction of a new development pattern" during the 14th Five Year Plan period, and two directions of "serving the needs of people's better lives and the high-quality development of the industrial economy". He focused on promoting six key tasks of commercial logistics networking, collaboration, standardization, digitization, greening, and globalization, highlighting the importance of urban and rural distribution system construction, standard pallet and turnover box recycling and sharing system construction, and overseas warehouse network system construction.
